Video content is ubiquitous in today's society, but how do we actually capture, transport and store all that video content? This session will Explain how video images are digitized, compressed and transported for our every day use. We will explore the history of video compression and how we have gotten to where we are today. We will also examine technical and legal issues we might encounter along the way. Attendees will leave with a understanding of how video compression works and how to identify common issues with surveillance video quality.
